Dear Parents

Since returning to football after the Christmas break we have been experiencing very difficult weather conditions. However, we have been extremely fortunate with the use of the playground at St Cuthbert Mayne School enabling us to keep training going. Let’s hope that dry and sunny weather is just around the corner.

The wet weather has meant that we have had to change some of our plans for later in the season.

1) The tournament will now be held on May 19th & 20th from 10.00 – 2.00pm

U6, U7, U9 & U10 on Saturday May 19th.

U8, U12, U14 on Sunday May 20th.

Can you lend a hand in the organization of the tournament either in the lead up to or on either day or maybe you are just interested in what goes on? If so, there will be a meeting held on Wednesday 14th March in The Bulls Head, Ewhurst at 8.30pm. All help and support is appreciated no matter how large or small. If you are able to come please let Clare know on clarehagen@talk21.com or tel 01483 548300 so that I don’t sit there alone.

There are many ways that you can help even if you are unable to attend the meeting. We are looking for sponsorship of certificates, trophies and medals. Would you be able to help with marking out pitches and putting up goals on Thursday 17th May (time to be arranged)? Does anyone have a flip chart that we could borrow for the weekend? Would you be able to help with the BBQ, Kitchen or Parking on either Saturday or Sunday? Please let your team administrator know or for more information contact Clare on 01483 548300

2) The End of Season Party & Presentations will now take place on Saturday May 12th.

We now have our very own website www.ewhurstjuniorfc.wetpaint.com. We are planning to keep this up to date with match dates, reports, results, weekly trophies, tournament info and general news and information. This will be in addition to the information sent by the Team Administrators. Take a look and let us know what you think on ewhurstjfc@btinternet.com.

There will be no training on Saturday March 31st and April 7th during the Easter Holidays. Training will resume on Saturday April 14th at 9.15am.
