U9's v Milford Sat 13th Oct. Match 1: Milford 2 - Ewhurst 4. Match 2: Milford 8 - Ewhurst 1 Milford represented a tough challenge due to the size of their squad and their need to constantly rotate players to ensure that everyone played a game. In the first game, the Ewhurst Lions were quick to dominate and played an outstanding game of positional football, passing the ball frequently and maintaining a strong shape throughout. The second match saw the Ewhurst Tigers play against approximately 15 different Milford players. During the first half, Milford dominated, scoring 7 goals, but after half time, the Tigers regrouped, scoring 1 and only conceding 1 more. Well done to all the players, and special thanks to John Lewis and Bob Schumacher for stepping into Nigel's shoes while he was away in Paris watching the English Rugby team grind the French into submission. Players who exceeded their usual standards of match play were James & Tristan, with outstanding contributions from Max and Jack. David Palmer U9 coach
